Scholarship Name: Governor’s Special Overseas Postgraduate Scholarship Programmer for Nigerians.
Brief description: The Rivers sustainable
development agency (RSSDA) seeks application from qualified candidates
for the Governor’s special Overseas postgraduate scholarship. It’s a
yearly scholarship from the Government and the programme is targeted to
benefit Scholars from the River State.
Eligible Field of Study: Medical Sciences (Biomedical Engineering/Technology,
Medical Statistics, Plaster Technology, Dental Technology, Dental
Therapy, Renal Technology, Medical Imaging Technology and Anaesthetic
Technology) and Town, Urban & Regional Planning and Medicine.
About Scholarship: Every year, RSSDA spends
exorbitant amount of money in sponsoring scholars from Rivers state to
foreign universities, the scholarship caters for all the student need.
It’s a mouth watering opportunity to sponsor your education if you can’t
afford to study abroad.
Scholarship Type: Postgraduate Scholarship (Master’s and PhD)
Selection Criteria and Eligibility: The following are the criteria that must be met before you submit your application:
1. Applicants must not be younger than 21years old.
2. Be a Rivers State indigene.
3. Must have gained admission into any of the listed universities in
the relevant field of specialization for the Masters program.
4. Must have completed NYSC
5. Hold a first degree of upper second class Honors standard (or
above) in a discipline relevant to that in which study is proposed
Number of Scholarship: 300 students overseas annually.
Duration of Scholarship: Through the course of study.
