Chevron Nigeria Limited, in collaboration with its Joint Venture partner, the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), is offering a number of University Scholarship Awards to suitably qualified Nigerian students. 



 E-applications  are  invited  from  full-time  SECOND  YEAR  (200 LEVEL)  degree  students  of  the  under-listed  courses,  in  Nigerian Universities:

2012/2013 FEDERAL GOVERNMENT SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS TENABLE IN NIGERIAN TERTIARY INSTITUTIONS



The Honorable Minister of Education, Prof. (Mrs.) Raqayyatu Ahmed Rufai hereby invites applicants from qualified Nigerian students in Nigerian public tertiary institutions to participate in the 2012/2013 selection interviews for scholarship awards tenable in Nigeria tertiary institutions.
Application forms are available online at www.fsb.gov.ng and can be filled and printed by prospective candidates for endorsement by their HOD and Registrars of their institutions.

2. ELIGIBILITY
       I.            Undergraduate, HND & NCE Scholarship:
All applicants should be registered full–time students in their second year or above in recognized Federal and State Universities, Polytechnics, Monotechnics and Colleges of Education. They should also obtain a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 4.0 on a 5 point scale, or its equivalent in the previous academic year’s examinations.
    II.            Postgraduate scholarship:
Applicants must be registered full–time students of recognized Federal and State owned universities and must have a minimum of second class Honors (upper division) in 1st degrees.

3. All qualified candidates who have fully completed the prescribed application forms for the Nigerian Awards scholarship are to attend selection interviews as scheduled in paragraph 4c below.

4. GENERAL INFORMATION
Duly completed application forms should be submitted at the various interview centers. Completed application forms should be accompanied with.
a)     Photocopies of:
i.            Letter of admission to the institution
ii.            Current Course Registration Form
iii.            Student Identity Card
b)     Two passport –size photographs with name fully written at the back

Worth of Awards

The Scholarship allowance is meant to cover: Institution’s charges, fees and Personal maintenance allowance
  • Post-Graduate Scholars               N180, 000 per annum
  • Under-Graduate Scholars           N150, 000 per annum
  • HND                                          N100, 000 per annum
  • NCE                                           N100, 000 per annum


c)     Interview Dates:
Northern States: (North East , North West & North Central ) 15th -  19th April 2013
Southern States: (South East, South West, South South) 8th -12th April 2013
d)     Interview Venue: Federal Unity School in each State Capital including FCT. Where no Unity School in the state Capital, candidates should contact The Secretary, State Scholarship Board in that state.

Ibeno Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State Second Scholarship Award

This is to inform students, parents and guardians of Ibeno Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State that the Ibeno Education Endowment Foundation (IEEF) has concluded arrangement to carry out a second Scholarship award exercise for students of Ibeno origin for the 2011/2012 and 2012/2013 academic years. The maiden scholarship award of the foundation was for the 2010/2011 session.

To this end, desiring students of Ibeno Origin in Akwa Ibom State who have gained admission into Universities, Polytechnics, College of Education, Schools of Nursing, and other recognized institution of Higher Learning in Nigeria and Abroad. During the 2011/2012 or 2012/2013 session can pick up the (IEEF) scholarship application form, complete same and return, together with necessary attachments, for the Foundations action.

Application Closing Date

1st April, 2013.

Method of Application
Application forms can be obtain from 
  • The secretary, Ibeno Education Endowment Foundation, C/O Office of the Executive Chairman, Ibeno L.GA, Akwa thom State or from;
  • Prof. E. T. Eshett, Chairman, Ibeno Education Endowment Foundation, C/O Department of Soil Science and Technology, Federal University of Technology, Owerri imo State.

Completed application forms should be enclosed in an A4 size envelope, along with two recent passport photographs of the applicant, together with photocopies of the following documents:
  • Letter of admission from the Registrar of JAMB or Registrar of candidate’s institution
  • Letter of confirmation of the app1icants Village from the Village Head or Village Council Chairman.
  • Certificate of Origin of the candidate issued. from the office of the Executive Chairman of Ibeno L.GA.
  • WAEC/SSCE certificate or its equivalent.
  • Current Institution identity card issued to the applicant, where available,
  • Evidence of the current Level of study of the candidate issued by the registrar of the candidates institution.
  • Evidence of payment of school fees for the 2011/2012 or 2012/2013 session as the case may be.
Note
Candidates who were awarded scholarships during the 2010/2011 academic. year and continued their courses of study during the 2011/2012. session or completed their programmes in that academic year need not make fresh application but will be required to show evidence of their studentship in the 2011/2012 session to sustain the award.

The foundation will thereafter invite the shortlisted candidates for screening interview on a future date.

2013/2014 AGBAMI Scholarship (National University Scholarship)

Star Deep Water Petroleum Limited, a Chevron company and operator of the Agbami Field, in its continuous support for capacity building in the health and Engineering sectors as a strategic feed into the national manpower pool, is offering a number of University Scholarship Awards to qualified Nigerian students of ALL the states of the Federation.

The scholarship program, funded by Star Deep and its Agbami partners, is a major component of the Agbami partners' Social Investment in the strategic development of health and education in Nigeria and the Niger Delta in particular.

The Agbami partner's strategic support for health development is a three-pronged approach of health infrastructural development, support for basic science education and training of medical professionals
through this scholarship program.

ELIGIBILITY:

Applications are invited from FULL-TIME, 100 and 200 level undergraduates from any state of the Federation, studying any of the under listed courses in universities or other relevant institutions within Nigeria:

  • Medicine/Surgery
  • Dentistry
  • Pharmacy
  • Engineering
  • Nursing and Midwifery
  • Medical Lab Sciences/Technology
