With an estimated population of over 200 Million people , Nigeria remains the most populous country in Africa. However, over the last decade, the country’s exponential growth in population has put immense pressure on its resources and on already overstretched public services and infrastructure...no thanks to decades of corruption - a very unfortunate situation whose effect is borne by over 10 million innocent children of primary school age, most of whom take to the streets for self-survival.
According to the US Department of state, only LESS than one-third of Nigerian primary school students will proceed to secondary schools and the top two factors influencing primary school drop-out in Nigeria are Monetary cost (32%) and Insufficient interest (26%). Eradicating these two remain the objectives of the 'Streets to school' project launched by www.scholarship-nigeria.com (founded in 2009) which has up till now focused on providing entrepreneurial / scholarship support, guidance and information services across all levels of the society.

I hope that through your humanitarian support, we can make the 'Streets
to School' project a reality, giving these kids (of primary school ages 5
- 11) a strong ray of hope for a bright future.
With as little as N500 donation, this project can become a reality.
We plan to run the project in phases of 20 pupils per phase. Multiple phases can run concurrently depending on the extent of funding.
Funds donated would cover Tuition, Books, Uniform and Feeding.
