2018 NSE Essay Competition


The Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) is pleased to announce the commencement of the 2018 edition of its annual Essay Competition.  The NSE Essay Competition, themed "Building a Sustainable Capital Market", is one of the Exchange's financial literacy and inclusion initiatives aimed at building a financially savvy generation.

Rules​
  • The Competition is open to only students in Senior Secondary Schools
  • Entries must be written in English and be the original work of the writer
  • Entrants must submit essay on the  entry form and complete all the mandatory fields
  • The maximum word-counts are 1000 words
  • Entries will be disqu​alified if they fail to meet these requirements

  • Entries must be the original work of the writer.  This does not rule out input or assistance from others
  • Entrants are encouraged to be creative in their response to the topic​
  • Award-winning entrants are expected to show originality, focus on topic and competent use of English as a written language.  This includes correct spelling, a good standard of punctuation and neat presentation

2018 NNPC/SNEPCo National University Scholarship

Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company Limited (SNEPCo), its co-venture partners and the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) hereby invites applications from qualified Nigerian students for the 2018 NNPC/SNEPCo National University Scholarship Programme.
Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company Limited (SNEPCo), its co-venture partners and the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) hereby invites applications from qualified Nigerian students for the 2018 NNPC/SNEPCo National University Scholarship Programme. The programme aims to promote academic excellence and improve the skills of young Nigerians. It provides yearly grant to the successful applicants from their second year to the completion of their degree programme.

Who can apply?

Applicant must:
  • Be a citizen of Nigeria
  • Currently be in their second year of full-time study in a Nigerian University accredited by the National Universities Commission (NUC)
  • Have a minimum CGPA of 3.0 in a 5 grade system
  • Not be a beneficiary of any other scholarship (National or International)
How to apply?
  1. Every applicant should have a valid personal email account.
  2. Applications by eligible candidates should be submitted online at https://www.nnpc-snepco-scholarship.shell.com.
  3. Candidates should include personal and educational details in the application.
  4. Applicants should upload scanned copies of the following as part of the application;
  5. A recent passport-sized photograph of the applicant in JPEG format, and not more than 200 kilobytes;
  6. University or JAMB (UTME or D/E) Admission Letter;
  7. Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME) Scores;
  8. O' Level Result(s); and 'A' Level /OND /NCE Result(s) as applicable;
  9. Letter of Identification from State of origin indicating applicant's local government of origin; and
  10. Academic results for 100 level.
Deadline
  • Applications should be submitted on or before September 24, 2018.
  • The examination date will be communicated to shortlisted candidates only.

Note

  • Each document submitted online must not exceed 200KB and the image format must be in JPEG.
  • Beware of fraudulent websites when applying for the NNPC/SNEPCo scholarship online. Such websites may ask you to make some payments in the course of the application. These are completely faux sites which should be avoided. NNPC/SNEPCo scholarship application is FREE.
  • SNEPCo will not accept email applications. It is important to visit the official website for detailed information and to access the online application portal.
  • SNEPCo is committed to providing scholarship opportunities that are not associated with application fees.
  • SNEPCo DOES NOT ASSIGN Representatives/Agents to assist applicants.
  • Any candidate found to have presented false documents will be disqualified or withdrawn at any level of the scholarship.
  • Only short-listed candidates will be invited for a computer-based test’

2018 General Electric (GE) Nigeria NYSC Internship for Nigerian Graduates

Role Summary: The role requires working closely with assigned GE Businesses to provide operational support to all aspects of their ongoing and future initiatives being executed/to be executed in Nigeria. This role may also require interface with Government entities, GE customers and with other GE counterparts.
